new p6 case, is this normal?

new p6 case, is this normal?

2013-12-05 by Martin Alaçam

Hi,

I am very happy to have received my new case. And although I know that it
is the inside of the case, which will hopefully soon be covered with
modules, this ripped paint job just doesn't leave a good impression for a
new product. I hope the attached photos get through on the list... [image:

Here the links.

The photos are bad quality, taken with my phone, but the cracks on all the inside corners are still clearly visible.

I did not check really all of my cases in detail, but I'd say: all cases
made from laminated wood look like that from the inside (I mean not only
the Doepfer, but all cases for my stage equipment). I think this is
normal and is caused by the buzz saw. Only cases made from PVC don't
look like that.

The picture tells me that you complain about the remnants that arise when
the black painted wood boards are sawed. Our case manufacturer has no
instructions to avoid or remove these remnants as they are inside the case
and no longer visible if modules are installed. Please return the case for
money refund if that's not OK for you.

Best wishes

No worries, it is my first case, so I didn't know and just wanted to double check. No way I am returning it .)
Best regards,

Martin
