Mounting an A-199 spring reverb tank in a G6 case

2013-09-22 by Zoë Blade

Hi!

In case this is any help to anyone, here's one way (probably not the best) to mount the A-199's spring reverb tank in a G6 case: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwHUFzGZ03c It sounds free from mains hum to me. :)

All the best,
Zoë.

Hi Zoe,

when you mount the tank inside the case I recommend to wrap the tank in two layers of aluminum foil. This eliminates all interferences. At least from my experience ;)

Thanks for the tip! I haven't noticed any interference, but that may just be my hearing not being all that great? It'd be really useful if anyone else can tell me how well the cable tie method of storing away the tank works for them, both pre and post aluminium foil. :)

All the best,
Zoë.
