hot screws

hot screws

2013-06-18 by Renato

I have a a-100 p9 that once i've been using for a few hours, has a 1 screw
at the back which is exceptionally hot to the touch.

if you know the p9, it's a screw on the rear, to the top left of the power
info sticker. the surrounding screws are also pretty warm.

any ideas what this could be? should i be worried?

thanks,
renato

Hello Renato

If you look at http://www.doepfer.de/A100P9_02.jpg you can see the other
side of the P9. So top right (seen from this side) of the power inlet is
the powersupply with the two black heat sinks. If I remember right, the
heatsink is atached with the screw, that holds also the complete part on
the back panel. So it should be normal that this screw is quite hot.
