The newest A-151 Sequencial Sw...

2012-03-09 by james.husted@mac.com

I have the first generation A-151 in my rig. It is the older one that is restricted to +/-8V and doesn't have the toggle switch to change the step range. Can anyone out there with the latest version tell me what chip they are using for the multiplexer/demultiplexer chip in the new one? Thanks

The new chip is a DG409, where the old one is a CD4052.

Those ARE NOT COMPATIBLE!!! You cannot replace the old chip with the new
one!!!
The new A-151 uses a different pcb!

In the A-151 manufactured from end of 2004 the DG409 is used. But the DG409
is not compatible to the CD4052 used in the older module ! So you cannot
simply replace the CD4052 by the DG409. In addition the circuits of the two
A-151 versions differ in a lot of details.
