Hi Dieter (hopefully!) Can you reveal which supplier you got your Dark Energy knobs from? I have searched high and low for the 6mm splined press-on variety, and the only supplier I could find was Small Bear in the USA. I could not find a European supplier. Thanks for any help.

Hi Dieter Thanks for your reply. If there are any surplus Dark Energy knobs when its production run finishes, would you consider selling them off? Thanks. --- In Doepfer_a100@yahoogroups.com, <yahoo@...> wrote:

We sell these knobs as spare parts. But as we are not an electronic shop (and do not want to become one) the prices are a considerably higher compared to electronic online shops. You can get pretty close with these knobs from Small Bear. http://www.smallbearelec.com/Detail.bok?no=1192 They're for knurled shafts and are also very similar to (but smaller than) the knobs used by Pittsburgh Modular. I've replaced all my Doepfer knobs with these and, in my opinion, they look much better. Small Bear is cheap and ships to europe. --- In Doepfer_a100@yahoogroups.com, <yahoo@...> wrote:

Hi Matt Thanks Matt. That is, in fact, exactly what I did too! Apparently there are so many people looking for those knobs to re-knob Euro modules that Small Bear stocks them specially. Good price too. I created a photo album called "Dark Energy Knobs on Euro modules" if you want to upload a pic of your re-knobed system. Here is mine: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Doepfer_a100/photos/album/671535046/pic/55962900/view --- In Doepfer_a100@yahoogroups.com, "mfretton" <matt.fretton@...> wrote:

In Europe similar knobs are available here: http://de.farnell.com/multicomp/cf-x5-m-t18/knob-plastic-16mm-al-cap/dp/1441066 (see Technical Data Sheet pdf) But they only got 7 in stock... --- In Doepfer_a100@yahoogroups.com, <yahoo@...> wrote:

Hello Those knobs are similar to the Dark Energy ones but not the same. The Dark Energy knobs have no skirt and a smaller metal disc on top. --- In Doepfer_a100@yahoogroups.com, "fritztravolta" <bloop2000@...> wrote:

Don't be fooled by the photo on this site. See the photo in the Technical Data Sheet pdf. --- In Doepfer_a100@yahoogroups.com, "the_real_dripfeed" <seandynan@...> wrote:

Ah, I see what you mean. The CF-X5-M-T18 looks like the right knob. Confusingly the tech sheet states its shaft is 6.8 mm whereas the Farnell web page says 6 mm. Am I interpreting the tech sheet correctly? Just noticed: Farnell Germany only ships within Germany! So much for the Single European Market. LOL. --- In Doepfer_a100@yahoogroups.com, "fritztravolta" <bloop2000@...> wrote:

I found the same knobs on Farnell's UK site, and all 7 knobs amount to £1.87 but Farnell stipulates a minimum £20 order! ARRRGH! --- In Doepfer_a100@yahoogroups.com, "the_real_dripfeed" <seandynan@...> wrote:

hmmm, i had this dilemma with farnell the other day. i added some 400mA fuses, an xlr cable, some cheap 3.5mm mono cables (to make a maq16/3 breakout panel so the cv and gate sockets sit in my modular case), oh, and a new pair of cutters. easy website to spend money on. :) ________________________________

hi i recognized some distortions on the A-132-4 when i feed it with sound from oscillators. i use mostly A-142-4 Quad Decay for cving the A-132-4. especialy sine wave going to sound very distorted. any tips to tweak this? is it the ics or just some little trimming but where? best felix

I'd recommed to use the control input CV1 of the A-132-4 and use the internal trimming potentiometer to adjust the CV level so that no clipping occurs. Best wishes Dieter Doepfer
