A-110 range

A-110 range

2011-11-06 by Zoe Blade

Hi!

I couldn't help but notice that the top limit of the A-110's range knob is actually +7, rather than the +2 that the markings indicate. Is there a story behind this? Is it safe to go higher than +2, and reasonably stable tuning? It sounds fine to me, but that makes me wonder why it's not labelled as going up to +7.

Thanks,
Zoe.

i've noticed that before too - i always enjoy it because cranking oscillators up into that extreme high range then sending then through a ring modulator and detuning/sweeping them makes for some of my most favorite kinds of clangorous noises! ;-)

i don't think it'll blow anything up (never had any problems myself), but i'm not the expert. Dieter?...

Yes, this is exactly one of the things I've been doing with them, and it sounds great! :D
