yes all these nice 'Silent way' modules are known and very nice indeed!!

but, some people would also prefer straight-forward modules with midi out and midi in onboard their modulars.(without having to use their audio interfaces).

If I would like to have a computer for making music, then I'd do 
everything with the computer and get rid of this old analogue rubbish.

But since my dayjob already burns a computerscreen into my brain, I 
can't help and don't want to have a computer around when making music.
So, sorry dear guys from silentway at least me I won't be a customer for 
you. ;-)
