Is there any likelihood of a P12 suitcase in the future? My P9 is great but is full and it's a big jump from the P9 to the smallest Monster Case (both in size & price). Matt

Matt There are no plans for such a case as we already have a multitude of different A-100 cases available (A-100G6, A-100P6, A-100P9, A-100LC6, A-100LC9, A-100PMS6, A-100 PMS9, A-100PMS12, A-100PMD12, A-100PMB, A-100MC). Our dealers complain by now that it's a hell to have all these cases in stock and to forecast the needs. An A-100P12 would be clearly more expensive than the A-100P9 as a second power supply is required (probably close to the price of the A-100PMS6 which has the same space available). But if there are sufficient inquiries we may offer such a A-100P12 case. Best wishes Dieter Doepfer

2 x 6 = 12 ;-) On Tue, Apr 19, 2011 at 12:39 PM, <yahoo@doepfer.de> wrote: > > > > Is there any likelihood of a P12 suitcase in the future? I could imagine a 2 x 6 "calzone" like case. Like two normal cases, but one with the aluminium profiles and latches used normally for the toplid. Florian achtung_999 schrieb: > 2 x 6 = 12 ;-)

I was joking but that is indeed not a very bad idea... Although would that offer enough space for patchcables to stay in while being transported?? I would nog think so.. On Tue, Apr 19, 2011 at 2:31 PM, Florian Anwander <fanwander@mnet-online.de> wrote:

I just like having everything in one case (I actually have a P6 as well, but keep it just for sequencers and vocoder), so maybe it's Monster Case time. --- In Doepfer_a100@yahoogroups.com, Florian Anwander <fanwander@...> wrote:

This sounds like a good idea to me - I have four 6U portables now. The only problem is that 2 of them are the older 85hp ones and 2 are the newer 84hp ones. I would need 2 different rings to make it work. In any case (no pun intended - really!) I find it much better to have multiple small cases instead of one big case. It is much easier to pack in a car to jam with someone, you can also take only part of your rig if only part is needed, you can re-arrange the modules in groups (my cases are in functional self contained layouts - each can stand on its own if needed), and the 6U versions can be carry-on for plane travel. Probably more expensive in the long run but much more flexible. -James James Husted Designer, Synthwerks LLC www.synthwerks.com james@synthwerks.com synthwerks@me.com On Apr 19, 2011, at 5:31 AM, Florian Anwander wrote: > I could imagine a 2 x 6 "calzone" like case.
