Yes I often thought about, whether such a module would be good. Should 
it be volage controlled and - if yes - which parameters should be 
voltage controlled?

Especially, since one can achieve a compressor function using the A119 
with a slewlimiter, an inverter and the standard VCA.

It is a bit pricy although very efficient. I just love the side chain
