fewer message generations

fewer message generations

2010-06-04 by Nick

Hi all
Does anyone else find it a pain to scroll through all the repeats of previous messages in replies?
Perhaps it is just me, but could we apply judicious and decisive editing to previous posts when replying?
Cheers,
Nick

Shouldn't the subject line read 'shorter message generation? </wiseass mode>

With me, the most recent post is always on top of the mail with older replies in the body in descending order so I never thought it much of an issue.

For those of us who receive mail in digest form, gmail does not provide any particular solution and it is quite annoying to have to scroll through dozens of forwarded replies.

Good point, I forgot the digest part.

Will try to keep that in mind but honestly don't think I can be arsed when using the Blackberry. That device just wasn't made for judicious and decisive editing.

Seconded!

It would be great if people would delete unneeded quotations from previous messages when replying. Thanks!
