A-132-1 / A-132-3 vca questions

im about to buy some vca's for my system and im wondering if these
modules are connected to the system bus of if i would have to patch
gates to the cv inputs.

hi Paul,

vca's are not normalled to the system bus.
maybe you mean some adsr modules?

The gate will produce harsh clicks on the VCA (especially annoying at 
the note end!). You always need something like a slew limiter (which 
then acts like an AR-envelope) between Gate and VCA-CVin.

indeed.

many times i have used gates passing thru a slew limiter as a 'simple gating envelope' for vca's.

thanks for the tip, i was thinking to gate a filter, something akin to the
sh101 gate switch where the env is disabled.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
