A154 issues

A154 issues

2009-11-10 by mark parsons

Thanks DieterI've re-seated the cable that goes from the controller and into the main boards of the A155 and it now works...well almost!Reset and Clock still don't work. Could that be a cabling issue from the A154 to the (redundant) controller board of the A155?

From your explanations I suppose that the A-154 is faulty and has to be

repaired.

It depends upon the buffering of the CV that is connected to the bus. If

A-185-1 or A-185-2 are used I don't expect any problems. As far as I

remember we tested the A-185-x with 4 or 5 VCOs on the same bus.

Best wishes

      Hello friends (and Dieter...)

I have an a124 that doesn't work:

resonance is audible only after 8

and the mix on the low pass mode seems not work at all

I have another wasp filter, and I exchanged the 2 3080 and the 1458 and the 4069

but the result is always the working one, working and the dead one, dead...

are the 2 bc557b picked with special characteristics ?

thanks

antonio

Difficult to make a diagnosis. The next step would be the replacement of the

BC557 (no special characteristics or selection required). And as a last

check I'd take the circuits from the working module to make sure that none

of the replacement circuits is defective. If this does not help the module

has to be sent in for repair.

Best wishes

Dieter Doepfer

Pay attention that the reset works different from the A-155. Details in the
A-154 user's manual.
What happens if you connect an external clock (e.g. an rectangle LFO) into
the Ext.Clock socket ?
