to the group,
i saw a mention on the doepfer website indicating that the a-197 "nintendo"
contrller has not been decided on for production. :^( don`t get me
wrong, i think both the touch kybd and linear (trautonium) controller are
very interesting, too BUT i think the a-197 had the possibility to bring
something really unique to the a-100 system, complex manual control. can we
encourage mr. doepfer to reconsider ? or am i the only one deeply intrigued
by this (possible) module ?
best,
dave

I could imagine, that Doepfer fears the same thing that happened him with
the Nintendo glove (the Controller went out of production).
Also the Spacemouse could be an interesting replacement for the Nintendo.
This has an economical aspect too: Since the spacemouse usually uses
standard protocols, a developement for one model could fit for the follow
up model too.

Not alone perhaps but I find it quite useless for me, but then I am a
sequencer kind of guy.

My personal position is similar; since I come from the piano, I like to
have a good velocity response for playing; I play this to the sequencer and
add there other controllers in the editor. But there may be others, who
like gesturing controls and things like that.

hi list,
i really don't know if i want this module...i am not very excited
about it,but then again ,if it will be released i might find it
useful...anyway i voted to be released.but i don't see a warm
reaction by most of the members to this poll...
