Doepfer

Meil, Tim,

I thought the brown goo came from the melting of the outside case of 
the transformer.  Like I sad, the very same thing happened to me.

When I approached Doug (Enport), he immediately contacted Dieter, and 
the problem was rectified (and no, that wasn't a power supply joke) 
in a matter of a day or two.  Both Enport and Doepfer took the 
situation very seriously, and I have nothing but great thing to say 
about how things were handled.  But as I also said, my unit was 
pretty new.

They very well might have unknowingly purchased a questionable batch 
of transformers.  Either way, no modules were damaged, and the only 
trace of the meltdown was the delightful smell that lingered for a 
couple of days.
