In the US, I hadn't ever heard it referred to as "symmetric/asymmetric" before. I'll certainly be sure to pay attention to the specs of the A100 output mixer. I would absolutely prefer balanced connectors. Its too bad there is no "single" .PDF document that I can download and print out that has ALL the modules and their respective detailed specs (at least I haven't found one on the web site).
