I have never heard of such a problem (I can speak only for A-100 modules, not for modules from other manufacturers). All modules to our dealers in USA, Canada, Japan and so on are shipped via air cargo. But I'd strictly recommend to use the carton and the foam corners that come with the A-100 case for airplane cargo transportation.
