Sounds to me like a faulty exponential converter of the high-speed VCO.
Probably the transistor array CA3096 has to be replaced. If the module is
still under warranty please return it to Schneidersladen. Otherwise I'd
recommend to look for a CA3096 and replace the existing circuit.
