Doepfer

I thought i ask the experts. 

I have a Dark Energy (Bought in Germany, shipped to the US).

The specs say it is rated for;  (12...15V AC, min. 400mA)

Now i have an extra AC adapter, rated at 16v, 1000ma). 

Is it advisable not to use this adapter. I'm not worried about the 1000ma. But i am hesitant about the extra 1volt above the specs (note: device came with a 12v, 550ma.)
