At this time the MAQ16/3 were manufactured still with the potentiometers without thread (like those in the A-100). We changed the potentiometers of the MAQ16/3 as soon as we discovered how much better the potentiometers of the A-100 are (about end of 1997). Unfortunately your MAQ16/3 is still the old version (and it was also much cheaper at that time than the new version with the better potentiometers). It's possible but very time consuming to replace all 48 potentiometers. Best wishes Dieter Doepfer
