Having a keyboard-like interface standing upright in front of you seems a bit awkward and against nature to me. Also, your system [case] needs to be firmly attached to something, since you'd be applying quite a lot of pressure to the keys... Unless you would put this module in the base of a Monster Base. Having it as a regular module would also restrict its dimensions a bit, no ? How many people are willing to sacrifice like half of a (expensive) portable case to a touch keyboard ?
