actual print sizes

2010-01-14 by wlh_1

For no particular reason the other day I measured the actual size of the prints that I was getting from my R280 printer. I found that the actual print size was about 1/16 inch smaller than the input file said it was. That is an 8 x 10 image was about 1/16 inch smaller in length and width. Has anyone else noted this and if so has anyone any ideas why?

I have done the same test on an R220 and a 1400 with the same results using both the Epson driver and QTR.

I use a 2400 and have always gotten exactly the specified dimensions. I just checked again to be sure.

Clayton,

I re-checked measuring from 1 inch to 9 (for the 8 inch side) and see
exactly the same reading... 1/32 short! I have a 2400 and I guess that I
will try it but that means firing it up after a long period of no use...
a good excuse to get it going again.

Cheers

Will
