OT but may be of interest to some

Hello All,

Today I rec'd one of the new Pentax K10 cameras, just recently being
shipped. I called Steve Karafyllakis and we decided to go crusin' fer
snaps at a nearby woods. I'm posting a link to a pic in case anyone
is interested in seeing what this puppy can do. Also it's a nice shot
of what our South Florida highland woods are like, and is a shot of
Steve contemplating a giant dead tree that's looming over him like the
Sword Of Damocles. Nice late afternoon lighting. Was taken with a
43mm Ltd prime lens (64mm equiv), 180 @ f/8.

Warning: 8.4 mg jpg

Captured RAW, ACR w/ default 25% sharpening, no other pp, saved as
8-bit jpg @ level 12.

Anyone with questions about any of this, please contact me via email
so we don't get a digicam thread going here. This camera has
generated a lot of buzz and I thought some forum members might be
interested in seeing a pic with something besides the kit lens.

Regards,
Clayton

Hi,
what iso was the image?

Just took delivery of some Entrada today. Looks very nice. Shame that it sounds like the Moab icc profile is out of date.

Thanks so much for your informative site, esp the paper chase article.

Attached are a couple of recent shots.

best wishes,
Rich
