Canon IPF 5000 printer

Canon IPF 5000 printer

2006-07-31 by lancephoto99

This will be my first venture into large, fine art printing.
Been a pro 30 years doing regular chemical prints and Epson
1280's for proofing. This new Canon seems to address a number of issues
with older Big Epsons. Is there much useage yet with this printer?
Are there profiles readily availble for the widely used fine art
papers from Epson and/or Crane? Any strong recomendations one way or
another?...Thanks

You got me. I became so tired of waiting for any real world info that
I've forgotten all about the Canons. That Canon Large Format Yahoo
Group is totally dead. The're's not much useful talk about what's
going on at all. It makes Epson seem almost professional.

It sounds like you did get real world information; there is no silver bullet
in the new Canon.
