Yet another kick-ass RC paper

I had intended to order a second roll of the Graphica RC, to take some prints to Greece for the relatives-I must have been more bleary- eyed than I realized, because what I got (and ordered) was the Graphica GLOSSY RC. After I came down off the ceiling, I decided to go ahead and use it in spite of the gloss, which is quite similar to E Premium Glossy, or any other glossy RC. Readings on the base are: L = 94.5 a = 1.49 b = -5.03 Turns out that MIS K4 inks tame down that gloss to a nice smooth untextured sheen, with no significant bronzing, but a bit of GD where the shinier paper doesn't get any ink on it. Some glop or Premier Art takes care of that. But get this: I'm getting a dmax of 2.45 at the low end, up to 2.58 at the high end. A sprayed-on coat of MIS glop brings the low end up to 2.55, and some of my higher readings to over 2.6!!! Now that's a promising paper. Don't have time to play anymore, gotta pack. When I get back I'll work with it some more. Regards, Steve Karafyllakis
