Is there an MIS PK ink for the 2200 that is the equivelent of the PK for the 2400? I really would like to try BO on my 2200 with Silver Rag but was informed that the older PK for this printer would cause more bronzing/gloss differential than the new formula. Can anyone advise me here? thank you, Sarah

I suspect the bronzing difference is more a function of whether the older PK used the older base. All of the MIS inks should be using the new base. The base that was started to be used a year ago made a major difference in the level of bronzing. You can tell what base is used by smelling the ink. The new ink base has what I'd call is distinct ammonia smell. The 2400 PK is a lighter load ink than the older PK. With the newer printers, we've found that lighter loads actually produce a better dmax with less, if any, gloss differential. Paul www.PaulRoark.com

-With the newer printers, we've found that lighter loads actually produce a better dmax with less, if any, gloss differential.- But that won't be the case with the 2200? will the PK for that be a heavier load ink or will the MIS formulas be the same for both? Thanks, Paul...I'm just a bit confused! Sarah --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, "Paul Roark" <paul.roark@...> wrote:

I assume the 2200 PK is the heavier load still. I have not tested the 2400 v. 7600 PKs in the 2200. So, I don't know which one would be best. Paul www.PaulRoark.com
