Hi John: Thanks for pointing out that possible ambiguity. Unfortunately I did not have a spectrophotometer, like the i1 of Gretag-Macbeth, with which to directly compare it. However, I must say, that I found the supplied spectro-colorimeter instrument very replicable in it's readings, and the produced profiles compare very well with those generated by very high end equipment in actual use. I look forward to seeing other such evaluations and comparisons, that would be MOST illuminating. It has actually (for the time being at least) cured my spectrophotometer lust! :-) Jack At 02:53 PM 1/15/2006, you wrote: >From: "John Moody" <moodymz3@...> >Subject: RE: Another Review of ColorVision PrintFix PRO > >Jack, >Nice writeup. >I have one comment on a sentence in the conclusion: >"My impression is that of a very solid package that offers the reliability >and accuracy of spectro-colorimetric generation of printer ICC profiles at a >more accessible price point than previously available." >My guess is that the audience for this package, reading the review would >have little idea what "reliability and accuracy of spectro-colorimetric" >really means, and conclude that it offers the reliability and accuracy of >much more expensive packages.
