On the subject of Books....... I would really like a book that takes on the subject of photoshop from a purely photographic perspective. A book that explains how to do in photoshop a lot of the techniques that photographers have been doing for ever with film and darkroom. In contrast, most of the photoshop books I have looked at are from a prepress / desktop publishing perspective. Any Suggestions? -Jeff

Check the Customer Reviews at Amazon Photoshop 6 Artistry : Mastering the Digital Image by Barry Haynes I read the 5.5 version. Lots of great info but it was difficult getting through at the time as I was fairly new to Photoshop and this book is more for intermediate/advanced users. Also the 5.5 version was written in a very wordy conversional way which became tiring to read and confusing at times. But it was still worth getting through. Best regards, John V.
