New install of QTR doesn't print

New install of QTR doesn't print

2005-01-01 by shootstmx@yahoo.com

Hello,
I'm brand new to QTR, having read about it on the Epson board at
dpreview, I decided to give it a try.

I have a self built PC, AMD2000+ processor, 1.5gbdr, XPPro & PSCS
printing to a 2200 on usb. The printer is connected to my PC
directly, but is shared on my home network.

I installed the latest download (yesterday) and went thru the setup
instructions and hit print. Nothing happened other than the thumbnail
in the GUI window disappeared. I then checked "Debug" and went thru
the print process again. The thumb disappeared and what appeared to
be a DOS screen flashed on and off and then nothing. I've rebooted
seveeral times, uninstalled and reinstalled QTR, but no help.

The Log File in the "Processed" directory inside the Monitor
directory says
"The system cannot find the path specified."

I can't locate a debug file.

Sorry for the newbie questions, I've scanned post after post and
haven't found the answer. I'd appreciate any info you might have.

Thanks, Gary Pennington

Please be sure to re-download QTRgui from
www.sbillard.org\Shareware\QTRgui.htm. Install this over your current
installation. The problem you describe sounds like one that has been fixed.
The program would fail if the Image was not on the same disk drive as the
program installation.

When you run QTRgui, select the help/about menu to see the current version.
Hold your mouse cursor over the "Version number" on the About window. You
should see a four part number pop up. This is the full version of QTRgui,
including the build number which is the final number of the four. It should
be greater than 0. It will be a 4 for the batch version or a 5 for the beta
version that does not use batch files.

Thank you! That was my problem. I have a separate HD for my images
and data. I added a directory on my C:Drive for my QTR images and
viola!

Thank you for your help. Now on to printing.........

The current QTRgui update should fix this problem.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
