Digital BW, The Print

Hi I am new to the list, and I have a question:

Brian when you say:

"We have even made enlarged negs (16x20, 20x24) for
platinum printing 
(on
Ilford clear material)."

I assume you mean from a film negative.   Secondly, 
what in your mind consitiutes a good digital b.w neg?
