I am as I write his removing my print heads and dampers from an Epson 7000. What I am doing is soaking them overnight in an attempt to save them rather than replacing them. I have a clog from hell in changing over to carbon pigment inks. My question is should I soak them in Windex or Fantasic. I have heard some reports that Fantastic works better. If so how should I dilute either of these cleansers. John Dean

Replace the dampers, you will never get them clean and they are cheap, and get the ones for the 7500 (pigment), they have a larger screen in them so they will not clog. Soak the heads in Simple Green straight. Put some on the capping assembly and leave overnight. If the heads are clogged good you may need to replace. Good luck, we have all been there.
