QTR & multiple images

QTR & multiple images

2004-10-24 by Bill Cheadle

I just created a flattened image from four seperate images for output to a
single 8.5x11 sheet. All images were sized and set to the same resolution,
then pasted to a new image set up with the same resolution (360) at a size
of 8.5x11. each pasted image was 4.5x3, and all four easily fit onto the new
8.5x11 sheet. I then flattened the new image and sent ot out to QTR (via
QTRgui - I'm on XP Pro).

The problem is it's printing each image as an individual image. This seem a
bit wierd since it's really now a single composited image...or is it?
Anybody have any ide what might be happening?

Is your image exactly 8 1/2 x 11 printing to a letter sized sheet? If
so you should crop it be a quarter inch or so on all sides. It could
could be printing just one of the images because isn't what happens
when you don't have that space that it prints only one corner of the
entire image. So it would seem like it's only printing one of your images.

Much smaller actually - about 6 3/4 w x about 9 1/5 high.

Hi Bill,

Your original post said "a new image set up with the same resolution (360) at a size
of 8.5x11". This is what Josh was getting at. It doesn't matter that the borders
are all white and the "useful" image is smaller. If the total image size is greater
than the paper minus the margins the image will be split into pieces.

Thanks Roy...I think the light bulb just went off...my image size is 8.5 x
11...I need to shrink the canvas to something less than that...BTW...thanks
for QTR for the PC. It's changed the way I work.
