Paul Just to clarify, is this the paper you were referring to way back in October last year? <<Permajet has also sent me some papers. They now have a winner which was labeled "ISC" in the box I received. It may be the best paper I've ever used. It is said to be cotton, buffered, and have no optical brighteners. I have had not flaking with it yet, and it's dmax is the best of the cotton papers, equaling EAM at 1.67 (Eboni & 1280), and beating PhotoRag (1.66) and PremierArt/UltraSmooth (1.61).>> FYI Silverprint has it in London for all the UK guys on this forum http://www.silverprint.co.uk/inkj22.html Regards Steve

Jobo in the U.S. (perhaps among others -- like MIS) will distribute the new line as well as the older ones. The new paper that I was most impressed with was called ISC in beta. It will be called "Alpha" in the production versions. It is a cotton paper with no optical brighteners and a dmax that rivals PhotoRag. It did not flake when I was testing it. I thought the beta paper was the best I'd printed with yet. Hopefully the production run will be just as good. On Silverprint¹s website they have Permajet Alpha 310 and Omega 310. Aplha 310: A 100% natural smooth cotton rag paper with an acid free warm tone base providing an excellent tonal range. Omega 310: A 100% natural smooth cotton rag paper with an acid free extra white base providing an excellent tonal range. Each are listed as 210 gsm. The prices below are for Alpha 310. The pricing is markedly cheaper than HPR for sizes greater than A4. First price is without VAT, second with VAT (sales tax). But is this definitely the paper you refer to? Sorry I should have said the pricing varies vs HPR. Also the Alpha ia a lighter weight. The pricing I note below is for 308 gsm. For 188 gsm HPR the pricing is: Photo Rag A4 / 50 26.10 30.67 Photo Rag A3 / 50 52.70 61.92 Photo Rag A3+ / 50 80.50 94.59 Does 210gsm have enough weight (to avoid dry mounting)?

Steve, I spoke to them today on some other matters and raised this question. The Alpha is the paper Paul talked about. The UK sizes are available from Permajet, Silverprint and Calumet if you want them. And as Paul says there have been some QC issues with the US sizes but they will be available fairly soon.
