I'm working with a dozen photographs in Photoshop 7. They will be published in a book. Currently there is a range of B&W tones - from brownish to greenish when I print them on my 2200. I would love to know how to use Curves or some other PS tool or printer setting to get all the photographs to be the same subtle-cool sepia tone. Anyone with this experience? Hope

try using the quadtone setting under image/mode/grayscale/duotone. There is also a website that discussed quadtone etc. It is http://www.luminous-landscape.com/tutorials/duotone.shtml Hope this helps. Mike

Print them using the black ink only setting and you'll get rid of the casts and get a lovely shade of sepia. In Photoshop go to Print with Preview and select Show More Options if it isn't selected Radio button Document Profile should be Same as Source Click Print Click Properties Pick your paper and the dpi you wish to use (1440 looks great) Pick your orientation Check high speed Check black ink only (ignore the warning that comes up telling you how awful it will look) Click OK You're off and running. If you are using a Mac take a look at QTR. The download includes a sepia curve (selected within the QTR driver settings) developed by Carl Schofield. Regards Steve
