Bill.. What buttons are you "pushing"?.. To move the carts to the left, you push down on the paper feed button until it moves left..Once it's all the way to the left you can un-plug it..For cleaning, plug it back in and hold the"color" button down until it starts going through its cleaning cycles..BTW, You neglected to mention if you are on a CIS or just using carts, and whether you are using Epson OEM dye ink or 3rd party pigmented inks..
