Digital BW, The Print

I imagine most are out for summer vacation as the 
message volume seems quite low at this time. 

I hope there is someone that can give me some 
good advice on the best method for filling SC3000 
cartridges. I have recently acquiered a 
refurbished 3000 that I want to put into service 
using the MIS FS-N ink set. My 16 oz bottles of ink 
should arrive any day now and since I have never 
yet used the 3000 printer I would like advice as 
to how best to proceed to get a successful 
startup of this equipment. I have an empty set of 
3000 cartridges and would like to know the best 
method to fill these from the bulk ink source. What 
amount of ink should be inserted. What is the 
preferred method of getting the ink into the 
cartridges. Any mistakes to avoid or other advice 
would be most gratefully received. 

Finally, is it necessary to run the Epson color inks 
in this printer before starting to use the FS-N ink.

I have been reading this list for sometime now and 
really appreciate the enlightened level of 
discussion and the depth of knowledge of the 
many active participants.

I use the Mac platform (9500 and Pismo PB) 1160,
Cone Software, Photoshop, Genuine Fractals, 
SS4000 scanner and almost exclusively 35mm 
format. I am #576 on a backorder list to receive a 
Canon D60 when they are finally available.

These are truly exciting times for B&W 
photographers.
