Hi - tried to post this in response to your email off-list, and it bounced
for some reason or other...

Re: [Digital BW] inks for the 7000 & Cone RIPThe Pro24 that I refer to is
the Cone 'RIP' for Piezo BW inks on the 7000.

The 7000 is and was the first wide-format printer I've had - expect some
learning curves on paper handling, but once you get it right... the printer
does a great job from that point on. I played for a little while with Epson
OEM inks... and now, I have the BW ink set in and I consider the whole
set-up to be lovely.

What the RIP does is just maintain a list of files that you want to print
(or that you want to print '0' copies of), all it stores in memory (As far
as I know) is a 'thumbnail' of the image. When printing, it just refers to
the file. Theoretically, with roll papers (or v. small prints) you could
configure a load of different prints to be done, hit go, and walk away. I
haven't done that myself yet though!

Hope this was some help to you!
