Creating ICCs for Use In Lightroom

I've been away from this issue for a while, but today I decided I would try and create some ICCs that could be used by Lightroom to print black and white images without exporting them to Photoshop.
The main problem I had in the past was that the prints made with the ICC created with the Create RGB ICC tool were always way off from the prints I was getting when I printed out of Photoshop with the same manual ramp and curve. I decided to try and get around this by only including the curve I wanted and using the linear ramp numbers posted in one of the instruction guides, not the ramps from the step scales I was creating the last time I attempted this.
This works to some extent, at least dropping the text file and modified RAW file do create an ICC file. However, apparently the ICC file is not an RGB file as Lightroom will not display it, and as we all know, Lightroom will not show grayscale ICCs - only RGB ICCs.
How do I coax the QTR Create-ICC-RGB tool to create an actual RGB ICC that Lightroom will accept?
