Correct way of printing B&W from PS CC to HP DJ Z2100

hi, I have no problems printing color images, they look the same as on Nec P221w, calibrated with BasICColor. But printing B&W gives headache. I've made several ICC-profiles with the i1 on the Z2100 for different papers, but when printing B&W, Photoshop doesn't give any other possibility than sGray or sRGB, depending, whether the image is Grayscale or RGB. Printing with Printer Manages Colors gives the same kind of image as with Photoshop Manages Colors. Proofing with the correct profile shows the image fine, but checking Preserve RGB-numbers gives just like the print. The best so far is, to convert the image to the printer paper profile, and then print with Printer Manages Colors. Of course I ran out of good paper, and the only I have now is Epson Photo Quality Inkjet Paper, which I've used for oiled digital negatives. I've created the profile, and using printing like above, the B&W is almost like the one I want it to be. This can be because the paper is such low-end one. Another thing is that when using OSX, I've not encountered any printing problems, but on Win7, normally PS after CS5 refuses to use custom paper sizes. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. Just yesterday it worked, I had the 16-bit app compatibility checked in this case. I used to print everything from CS6 32-bit, and there were no problems ever, but 64-bit versions, normally always. There's been much discussion on Adobe forums about this, but Adobe says it's the printer driver. TIA -m
