The last uses the brand name Ilford for the photographic films, plates etc it still manufactures in the original Ilford plant in the UK. My guess is that there is still a contract that assures the rights of using the Ilford brand name for inkjet products to the Swiss Ilford-Imaging company. The financial curators will try to get that brand name sold for good money to whatever company that looks for an illustrious brand name to sell its inkjet media. Could be anything from a Russian inkjet media manufacturer to a small Brazilian distributor of rebranded inkjet media. Kodak wide inkjet media today is distributed by BMG with the label Kodak but RC qualities are Felix Schoeller products and the art papers show Innova specs. It shared a booth at the last Photokina with InnovaArt. What Harman produces where in inkjet media is also an open question. Today it is "Harman by Hahnem\ufffdhle" and the base and coating could be produced anywhere. Felix Schoeller, InnovaArt, Sihl? I doubt the base is produced by HM in Dassel, the capacity and production methods there do not suit the Harman paper category. And it has to be seen whether the coating is still done by Harman. HM uses Sihl for the coatings of the paper bases it produces. Other papers are bought from big suppliers like Felix Schoeller. It is hard to get the facts about this, if Harman still coats the paper base it orders from paper mills then it may have made a deal with Hahnem\ufffdhle to make its brand name better known / more illustrious or it uses the HM distribution facilities etc. -- Met vriendelijke groet, Ernst http://www.pigment-print.com/spectralplots/spectrumviz_1.htm January 2014, 600+ inkjet media white spectral plots.
