DTP41 calibration Strips

DTP41 calibration Strips

2014-01-30 by Francesc

I recently have bought trough ebay a DTP41 spectrophotometer for making QTR profiles for my 1430 At beginning everything was ok with my density readings... but after some days of joy DTP41 returns error 28 -telling me it needs new calibration- but I got no calibration reference strip for doing it. I have been trying to order through X-Rite a new calibration strip -its DTP41-100-Kit – but it is impossible. They tell me this item is very obsolete ...so I have to make my own calibration strip. Through Color Port I can print an "equivalent" strip but I don't know how to transfer its reflectance data into Tool Crib because I have no file model to do it, so the reason of this writing is a call of help to the community of DTP41 users of this group.
I should need a copy of any calibration file ?????.xrc located I believe at Tool Crib folder that any normal DTP41 user should have.
Your help or hints shall be highly appreciated
Regards
-Francesc

I hate these stories about equipment that was purchased on Ebay and then
after a few days the equipment fails.

Do you have any recourse from the seller?

Try again with Xrite. I just bought a new calibration strip for my DTP41 a
few months ago.
