Dried Ink Cartridges

Dried Ink Cartridges

2013-06-29 by ganb@verizon.net

I have been away from my 1400 Epson printer for some time and was not able to prep it for storage. There was a small amount of EB6 inks left and they have dried in the cartridges. Is there a way to save the cartridges, or are they cooked?

I have installed new cartridges with cleaning fluid and have run three head cleaning cycles. I'll let this sit for three days before trying new ink.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Gan

If the ink has actually dried in the carts, I'd buy new carts.
