National Art Gallery Must See's?

National Art Gallery Must See's?

2013-04-07 by Terry Ritz

I'm in Washington DC on a business trip and I have a chance tomorrow (Sunday) to visit the Smithsonian area and the National Art Gallery. Any "must see's" you suggest I try and view?

Terry.

Yes, as a photographer you might take in 'Faking It: Manipulated Photography before Photoshop'. Right next to it in the West Wing is a wonderful show 'Color, Line, Light: French Drawings, Watercolors, and Pastels from Delacroix to Signac'. The show 'Albrecht Dürer: Master Drawings, Watercolors, and Prints from the Albertina' in the East Wing is very enjoyable.

P.S. Between the East and West wings there is a gift shop. Along the walkway you can see my book 'Photoshop for Artists' on display. Well actually I am just one of the contributors, Sylvie Covey is the author. But you can see one of my pictures on the back cover, its the rust colored flower. I am very proud to have been asked to contribute.

Thanks everyone. I caught the exhibit earlier today. It was great!

I appreciate all the help.
