It's been a few years since I taught at Santa Fe Workshops or otherwise had a paid excuse for being there. Great place to shoot, in town, in the dessert, in the mountains, etc. As for galleries, I did a pretty thorough search about five years ago, and there was one photo gallery, silver only, classic photogs only, no interest in digital. There were some photos in a few others, and a couple local photogs with galleries of their own work. One was a woman billed as The Pickup Artist, for her colorful shot of old trucks in the desert. She had her own small shop near the plaza. There was a horse photog who had a gallery in the Inn & Spa at Loretto, his digital prints had been scanned and digitally printed by someone else from his original prints. There were a number of studios making digital prints, I visited a few of them. A web search should bring up most points of interest. Contact Ursula Freer, if you have an interest in digital art. CDT

Two galleries you must see are Verve Gallery and the Andrew Smith Gallery. David - A question about the iPad - have you been able to profile the monitor? Is that your secret sauce? Thx. Jim

Jim CM experts complain about the degradation of Colorsync on the Mac and at the same time watch the unannounced development of ICC profile support on the iPhone etc. Looks like the priorities are mixed up at Apple HQ. Can't wait for the first job from a customer who does his image editing on an iPhone app. -- Met vriendelijke groeten, Ernst Try: http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/Wide_Inkjet_Printers/ | Dinkla Grafische Techniek | | www.pigment-print.com | | ( unvollendet ) |

This isn't a small Mac, it's a big iPhone; so that capability isn't supported. Which is what keeps life interesting! CDT

But hopefully it will mature into an acceptable platform for some imaging tasks. CDT
