I need to store my printers (R2200, R2400) for six months or more and I was wondering what the best method is. I live in an exceptionally dry climate. Relative humidity can be 20% or lower quite regularly in the winter. Unless I am printing regularly, my printers require at least one and usually two cleaning cycles per week. I could take the cartridges out, but I am worried about the ink left in the head. will dry out and form a plug. I was thinking of putting cleaning cartridges in, running a few flush cycles and either leaving the cleaning cartridges in or taking them out. I am unsure whether leaving the cleaning solution in for an extended period of time would hurt the printer or not. Thank you for your suggestions. Paul G.
