Yes, paper-tone is not directly related to ink-tone; a paper with a warm tone 
can take inks "cooly;" something that is most noticable in B&W printing. This 
is why the idea of fixed neutral printing is not really very neutral; its 
color tone will vary significantly from one media to another. The "black and 
gray" mode in HPs new B9180 and Z2100 printers would fall in this category.
