Hill was the fist head of the photo program at Yale after Evans died later replaced by Papageorge, the historian/photographer that has ruled the program since the 70's. http://www.tfaoi.com/aa/6aa/6aa393.htm You also have to realize that Evans is more than just an alumi from Yale, he is a god there, THE god actually. I think he would find it amusing since he was pretty much a bohemian anti-establishment kind of figure. The entire program is based on his art documentary aesthetic. I believe he was only there for 2 years at the end of his life. Now I hear they are having students do a lot of video. How's that for keeping the pure reportage tradion alive. Now they're competing with internet websites. But I guess there is nothing wrong with that (for academics). John
