Hello Eddie, >"how does one go about getting an awesome B&W print that is 100% >neutral by all measures on the Epson R2400." >If you currently do a lot of printing on an Epson R2400, then I >would love to hear your opinion as to what you think is crutial in >obtaining the aforementioned print attributes. I'll take a stab at this and share my experiences, with the preface that neutral to me means that black is black, not brown, pink, green, or blue. Every time I thought I had found a neutral tone, my happiness was destroyed as soon as I put the print next to another one with a different tone. Suddenly what I thought was neutral looked a bit warm or cool or green or something. And of course any ABW setting will look different on different papers. That said, one of my favorite settings is 2h,8v on ABW. It makes a really pretty tone that looks neutral by itself and a tad warmish if next to something that's blue-ish cold. Basically you have to experiment and find what you like. I hope this helps Regards, Clayton Info on black and white digital printing at http://www.cjcom.net/digiprnarts.htm
