I had reason to open a package of a well known art paper from about three years ago for some testing yesterday, and it was a trip back to the future; I can remember with this paper was a leading medium, but comparing the thick, dry, chalky coating on it to the best current media, it seems ancient and highly undesirable. The paper in question would fit the description above, but is not a paper I would currently recommend. So get at least a few sheets of a top-notch current paper, work with it, and then compare coating flexibility as well as printing results to any other paper of interest. That way you'll know what's missing, if anything is missing. C. David Tobie Product Technology Manager ColorVision Business Unit Datacolor Inc.
