I suspect the R220 with Epson inks will never be able to do a really good job of printing B&W and color in the same image. There was a thread a couple of weeks ago about how to do this, but I don't think there was any solution that would apply to the R220. The R2400 (and other k3 printers) have the inks needed to do the job, but the driver is less than ideal; they use separate modes for color and B&W. With a good profile, however, (or a good rip) someone with one of the k3 printers is probably as close as you'll get with today's inkjet printers. Paul www.PaulRoark.com
