I got an interesting call from the company that sold me my 7600 offering me a sample of a premium-grade acid-free satin RC paper last week. The rep stated that Sihl was one of the few actual manufacturers of inkjet papers (most companies including Epson contract and re-brand papers) and they were now beginning to market their papers under their own name. The price for a 24"x100ft roll is a couple dolars less than the Epson semi-matte, putting it at about $0.50 /sq.ft. Of course I jumped at the chance to try it, and am expecting a 36"x15' roll sometime this coming week. I'll report back on it as soon as possibleand perhaps if it looks good initially some other list members who have densitometers might check it out so we can get some hard numbers? Steve Karafyllakis
